The college provides Library and Reading Room facility to all its students. The library has a useful collection of books for the academic development of its students and also proposed to start Book Bank facility in the college library in near future to provide quality text books to the needy students. Our college library is also connected to NATIONAL LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SERVICES INFRASTRUCTURE FOR SCHOLARLY CONTENT (N-LIST) jointly run by UGC INFONET Degital Library Consortium, INFLIBNET Center and INDEST-AICTE Consortium, IIT Delhi. This project provides free access to more than 55,000 full e-text books and more than 2000 e-journals to the faculty members and students. Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Degree College is considered one of the best library shaping the career of thousands of young boys and girls. Originally the college library was established in the year 1984 which was situated in the old building. The library in its new premises was formally inagurated in August, 2008 by Sh. Prem Kumar Dhumal honorable chief minister Himachal Pradesh.
Its modular and functional style fulfills the purpose of a planned library. The library has been fully stacked with almirahs and book-shelves in an orderly manner. The sitting facilities for students and faculty members has been provided separately. Apart from this book-racks and other study material has also been placed in such a systematic manner so the it facilitate the students and faculty..
